Nature Study unfolds in an eccentric urban landscape where exotic animals peer down from a construction fence, and the locals walk by - no longer noticing the surreal scene.

The photos capture the realistic looking figures (rhino, elephant, hippo, penguin, tiger, mother giraffe and baby), placed by a witty downtown landowner, in an unusual relationship with a screen-printed North American woodland scene where in real life none of the animals would be found.

The photo series builds to a simple reveal of how the scene was assembled.
